BMI Calculator

Doctors use BMI (Body Mass Index) to help them determine whether an adult is within their healthy weight range, overweight, obese, or underweight. They generally consider that a healthy adult weight is any weight between a BMI of 20 to 25. Your BMI changes as you lose or gain weight. To find out your current BMI, fill in the details below.

What does this mean?

Your BMI reading indicates how heavy you are for your height. However, as everyone is built differently, and some people may have a heavier muscle mass than others, a BMI reading may not always be the best indicator of weight status. Use the BMI as a guide and if you are concerned, ask your doctor for help.

Use either the Imperial BMI or Metric BMI Calculator below to find your BMI and use the bottom table to see how you rate;
