  • Leave your ego at the door, be respectful & courteous to everyone, help create a comfortable environment for everyone to train in

 

  • Return & Rack weights & equipment after use, this is to be courteous for the next person to use as they don’t need to take off the weights that YOU have just lifted

 

  • Don’t be excessively noisy while training e.g. shouting, grunting & dropping weights hard; if you can lift it up, you can control it down. Use a spotter when required

 

  • All bars exercises must be done on the platform for safety reasons (exception of the Triceps bar and preacher curl that has its own station)

 

  • For hygiene purposes: please wipe down equipment after use, there are paper towels & sanitizing spray all throughout the gym floor

 

  • For safety & hygiene purposes: Runners must always be worn on the gym floor, you can however lift with no runners on the platforms only, provided you are wearing appropriated lifting shoes or socks. As soon as you step off the platform, runners must be worn.

 

  • All gym bags to be stored in lockers downstairs, workout equipment like squat shoes and accessories to be put in the gym storage unit when not in use (these can be trip hazards)

 

  • Appropriate gym workout gear to be worn, no boots, shoes, sandals or jeans etc

 

  • Allow other members to “work in” / take turns between sets. Don’t loiter or hold machines between sets

 

  • Only Athlone RSC Personal Trainers can do Personal Training in our facility

 

  • You must be over 16 years old to use any of the weights in the strength area

 

  • No food to be eaten in the gym

 

  • If you need to take a phone call, please do so outside the gym

 

  • No Photo or Video Recording in the gym unless permission is given by a gym instructor / duty manager. Respect members privacy

 

  • Please report any faulty or damaged equipment to a member of staff

 

  • If you are a fitness member and have children between the ages of 11 – 15 yrs they may use the club facilities by themselves from opening to 6 pm daily. They must firstly meet the gym trainer to explain rules of the gym and be given an appropriate program to work towards. Please note under 16 yrs are not allowed use the strength equipment.
