Firstly we would like to thank you for being a loyal and valued customer and remind you how much we appreciate the feedback we receive regarding the Swim for Life programme.
We believe this feedback is instrumental in making continued improvements and in helping to shape the ongoing development and progression of what we feel is one of the most comprehensive swim / aquatic programmes in the country.
The development and investment in the programme since 2012 followed a complete review of our Swim for Life curriculum and saw the introduction of: Learn to Swim courses for Babies and Tots; a more fun based Swim fitness session for children aged up to 18; and a Junior Water Polo club.
We also expanded the Swim for Life team from 16 to 26 people to strengthen our Teaching panel and improve customer service. At the same time we have been absorbing the rising costs of energy and insurance whilst the Swim for Life fees remained frozen since 2009.
Having reviewed the prices charged by other Providers as far back as last summer, a decision was made to adjust the fees so that we can continue to provide a quality service going forward. This decision was not made lightly and was postponed for 9 months until after the Christmas re-enrolment period.
With effect from the next term which commences on March 20th, 2017 the cost per lesson for a family with one child will increase by €0.50 cent from €7.58 to €8.08. Members will continue to benefit from a 20% discount and that rate will increase by €0.47 cent from €6.00 to €6.47 per lesson.
We hope you will understand that having held fees static for 8 years this adjustment is now essential. A full breakdown of the fees for our 12 week courses are below. Please note that discounts will remain in place for families with 2 children (5%) and 3+ children (10%).
Included in the price will be a Swim for Life hat which each child will be given. The swim hat will clearly display the Level your child is booked into, thereby helping to improve safety on poolside as well as becoming a reward for children as they progress through the programme (first batch of new swim hats are due in mid April).
We have also decided, following feedback from you, our customers, to simplify the Re-enrolment process and make it easier and faster to book your children in to the next term of lessons. More information to follow shortly.
Thanks as always for your continued support.
