LES MILLS GRIT Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. LES MILLS GRIT Strength takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.

 

Grit is  high intensity interval training Class.  We recommend you have strong level of fitness. talk to one of  our fitness class instructors and if this class doesn’t suit you they will advise one that will.

Who is GRIT for?

GRIT works on top of a base level of fitness, so you will need to talk to one of our instructors before taking part in a class to make sure it’s right for you. If it’s not we have another class which is.

What is HIIT?

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is short rounds of high-intensity exercise followed by periods of recovery. The basic recipe is to go as hard as you can, rest and then repeat. Olympic athletes have been using this type of training for years and it is now one of the most popular fitness trends in the world. Why? Because it works. The secret to ultimate fitness and results is not in adding volume, but intensity.

 

HIIT works best as part of a wider fitness routine

LES MILLS GRIT™ workouts are best served on top of some base fitness and other moderate intensity exercise. Just remember there can be too much of a good thing. HIIT is hard core and your body needs time to recover. Keep your LES MILLS GRIT™ sessions to 2-3 times a week (maximum) as part of a wider fitness diet and you’ll be flying in no time. You get results. It’s that simple.

Each workout combines innovative HIIT with powerful music and inspirational instructors who are down on the floor with you, encouraging you.  You get support from those around you and the instructor beside you, and classes are smaller to give more personal attention. How to get started

Turn up. It’s that simple. Show up a little early so you can let your instructor know that it’s your first LES MILLS GRIT™ workout. Don’t be shy to work at your own pace and stop when you need to. Your instructor will work out on the floor, motivating you and the team around you to go harder. You’re fitter, faster, and stronger than you think. Trust us. Your instructor will help out with technique and show modifications that cater to all fitness levels.
